As many of you know, most of our products are handblown glass. Just implying the product as handblown actually provides a nice elegant title towards the product itself. Then at the same time, people do wonder what the difference between machine-made and handblown glass is?

First, let's have a simple understanding of machine-made. Machine-made glass is very cost-effective, and the reason for this is that they focus on mass production. The glass can be crystal clear. Perfect in dimension and shape and, more importantly, doesn't have many imperfections. They are the same copy of the previous one made before it and will be exactly the same as the next one after that. There is 0 difference. However, glass is thin, and it seems there is no quality but just quantity.

The handblown glass, on the other hand, is an art. Master crafters use a furnace to heat the glass where it becomes a liquid. Using ancient techniques that have been around for literally thousands of years ago-since ancient Rome, improving and perfecting over time to create such beautiful and staggeringly wonderful handcrafted glassware.

Master crafters use long tubes to blow into this liquid glass. Using their unique skillsets to do their best to create the perfect shaped glass before the liquid cools off and turns into a solid product. Precision is the key, and just the slightest mistake can mean that the product will turn into defective glassware. The handblown glass will contain air bubbles, but that is what makes it unique. Glass thickness is so much thicker than machine-made products, which also creates a firm effect when someone picks one up.

Such a simple product, yet the history behind it phenomenal. The skillset to create it takes years to perfect. All to which the master crafters can create gorgeous centerpieces for any event or home decor.
